Personal Teaching PhilosophyI have a Bachelor's Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from Texas Tech University. Therefore, I am highly qualified to teach English, language arts, reading, and social studies for grades 4-8. Additionally, I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a special emphasis on instructional technology, from Baylor University.
I am a teacher because I absolutely love the process of learning, as well as the character and development of children in the middle level. I have been blessed with a special opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives and learning of my students. I strongly believe that each student is a unique individual, and understand that I posses the responsibility to be someone that my students can look to for guidance. As a teacher, I will try to be the best role model I can be, while providing support to students in a time when they are experiencing developmental obstacles. Each student in my classroom deserves equality and the opportunity to be successful every single day! In my opinion, teachers and students should be involved in a mutually beneficial relationship that can grow in a comfortable, relaxed, interactive and respectful environment that provides respect and encouragement to each person daily. The intellectual development of each child is so important, and I wish to guide learning so that students may rise above their expected level of potential. |
